Solar Kiosk: phone charging and lights for Tamale market
Market traders in Tamale lose sales every evening when the light goes. Our first kiosk proved the idea: 140 phones charged and 60 lamps rented a day, for less than traders spend on generator fuel.
This campaign pays for the second and third kiosks: panels, batteries, lockable lamp racks and a year of maintenance. Supporters get perks from free charging to their name on the kiosk.
This is a fictional demo campaign: the people, figures and contributions are invented. Photo by pius quainoo on Unsplash. The video is a placeholder, unrelated to this campaign: "Elephants Dream" by the Blender Foundation, shared under a Creative Commons licence (CC BY 2.5).
All-or-nothing. The organiser receives the money only if the goal is reached by the deadline. If it is not, every supporter is refunded. Backing this campaign is not an investment: you don't receive shares, interest or any other financial return.
