Boxyfund is a crowdfunding platform. People and organisations raise money for personal needs, businesses, products, creative work and community projects, and supporters choose what to back.
Medical bills, education, family support, emergencies and memorials.
Launch, equip or grow a venture, with perks for supporters. Not an investment. Can offer reward tiers.
Inventions, gadgets and products: back them early and get one first. Can offer reward tiers.
Books, films, music, games, fashion and art. Can offer reward tiers.
Libraries, sports facilities, clean-ups and local projects. Can offer reward tiers.
Any other legitimate project or need. Can offer reward tiers.
The organiser receives every contribution, even if the goal is not reached by the deadline.
The organiser receives the money only if the goal is reached by the deadline. If it is not, every supporter is refunded.
The organiser receives everything up to the goal. Anything raised above the goal is passed on to another Boxyfund campaign the organiser has chosen.
Personal fundraisers can keep what they raise or pay it forward. Startups, products, creative and community campaigns can also choose all-or-nothing. The model is shown on every campaign before you contribute.
Starting a campaign is free. Each contribution carries a GH₵10 platform fee, paid by the supporter and shown at checkout before paying. Payment providers may also charge a processing fee, also shown before you pay.
Reward tiers are thank-yous from the campaign owner, delivered by them, not by Boxyfund. Products and projects can be delayed or fail, so read the campaign's risks and timeline before you back it. Backing a business or product is not an investment: you don't receive shares, interest or any other financial return.
Every campaign is reviewed before it goes live, and every campaign page has a button to report a concern. Contributions are not tax-deductible unless a campaign states otherwise with a valid basis. If something looks wrong, contact us.
